Refined Products

The Jefferson Energy Terminal has a rail loading system for refined products that is designed for best-in-class export delivery to Mexico. Several tanks are in service with the ability to load 87 and 93 octane gasoline and Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel by rail as well as marine. There are two 40-foot draft ship docks capable of loading/unloading Barge up to Suez Max vessels and one 15-foot draft barge dock capable of loading/unloading two sets of barges. Each dock has multiple dock lines, including direct tank-to-dock segregated product pipelines as well as dedicated pipelines for heated products. (Paragraph break) With the liberalization of the Mexican market, the Jefferson Terminal serves as a critical piece of the logistics chain by loading unit trains of refined products and delivering them to Mexico for the retail market. U.S. refiners have the opportunity to supply gasoline and ULSD directly to Mexico, and shipping these products by rail provides a quick and efficient solution to meet customer demands.
