About the Company:

Jefferson Energy Companies is an innovative midstream energy company headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, with transportation, terminal and storage assets located at the Port of Beaumont in Beaumont, Texas. The terminal sits on a 250 acre site on the east bank of the Neches River Ship Channel at the confluence of three Class 1 rail carriers. The Terminal is designed to deliver maximum flexibility to users, with crude by rail capability of 210,000 barrels per day ranging from the lightest condensate to pure bitumen. The Terminal Marine capabilities include a Ship Dock and dedicated Inland Barge Dock which connect the Terminal to domestic and foreign marine destinations.

Position Summary:

The Terminal Scheduler is responsible for managing inbound & outbound shipments, inventory and asset utilization at the Beaumont terminal by scheduling product movements with customers, terminal personnel, Jefferson’s Commercial department and others. This position reports to the Director of Operations while also working very closely with the Commercial team to ensure the highest level of customer service. Directly responsible for scheduling rail cars, unit trains, marine traffic, trucks and tank movements. Manage product inventory, nominations and product allocations based on current demands via communication with customers, terminal personnel and external schedulers. Issue daily scheduling orders to terminal management, terminal operators and customers in a timely and accurate manner. Receive, analyze and determine acceptance of shipper nominations. Verify daily activities for each customer from origin to destination. Communicate Estimated Time of Arrivals (ETA’s) and windows with representatives at external entities such as Sabine Pilot Association, Port of Beaumont, barge companies, trucking companies, and contractors. Maximize Terminal throughput and customer service while minimizing delays and demurrage exposure. Provide analytical support when necessary to the Commercial, Financial and other teams within Jefferson in matters concerning business development or continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in addition to two years scheduling experience in a multi-modal terminal environment. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree. Working knowledge of bulk liquid Terminal operations. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. Solid commitment to customer service. Working knowledge of meters/ samplers. Ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Successful completion of a background check and drug screen in addition to the ability to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of employment.
